A RAK for Me at the Grocery Store

Yesterday while grocery shopping I found a $1.00 off coupon tucked in with the trash bags I needed to buy! What a nice surprise. I always complain about how expensive something I will throw away costs. Helped make that pill a bit easier to swallow :)

Thank you coupon RAK'er! I sure did appreciate it.

This was a good RAK to help for me to be reminded that it is ok for the RAK's you do to be free. It doesn't have to cost money to be kind.

Revisiting a previous RAK

Being new to this blogging thing I though I would share a couple pictures of Random Acts of Kindness that I have done in the past.

I did 26 RAK's to remember the 26 lives lost in the Newtown Conn. shooting.

This is a box of cat toys from old t-shirts that I made and donated to a local animal rescue. Richland Animal Rescue. They were having an adoption event so my son and I ran in to give theme the toys. The reactions were amazing! I think we inspired some of the volunteers to make an effort to RAK!

We made up several baggies with 2 quarters in them and attached to toy vending machines. I would hang these up as we went in and they were always gone by the time we left.

Now I am knitting up some super cute aliens to give out as RAK's. Still planning on how/who I will give them out. I would like to get a small bunch done and then just see who I come in contact with.

I feel like I need to make up some sort of card to attach to items vs. always handwriting a note. This would look nicer and save time. Need to think on what it should say.

I would love to hear RAK's you have done or witnessed as well as get ideas on more to do.

Hope your day is great!

A Bit of an intro and Welcome

I have been toying with the idea of a blog for my RAK (random acts of kindness) for a while now and decided that there is no time like the present!

Spreading smiles and bits of joy are two of my favorite things.

Here I plan to post stories of the RAK's I do, plans I make for future RAK's, and ones that I witness or maybe even receive!

I love to knit so many of the RAK's I do will be handmade.
